My path in Psychology
From the first year of university I imagined myself working on the territory and in areas such as those of migration and integration, a dream that initially came true thanks to my experimental master's thesis. In fact, I was able to do research on the intergenerational transmission of ethnic prejudice in pre-school age, or to do activities with school children with a high rate of multiculturalism.
During my year of professional internship in preparation for the state exam for professional qualification, I was able to continue to participate in integration activities within a Lisbon association (thanks to a scholarship from the European Community). Here I welcomed the needs of migrants from the most heterogeneous neighborhood of the Portuguese capital, in collaboration with the legal desk of the association.
At the same time I had the opportunity to learn how to do qualitative research in the Department of Community Psychology of the University, specifically on the comparison between the traumatic experiences of migrants in the Portuguese and Italian Identification and Detention Centers (now called Retention Centers for repatriations).
My experience in the third sector continued during the year of European Voluntary Service, a grant from the European Community, in community solidarity associations and with various population groups, such as children, adolescents at risk, the elderly, migrants and international students.
My last "Portuguese" experience took place in a public institution of residence for children and adolescents at risk, that is, coming from families deemed unsuitable by the court or that did not have the necessary resources.
In my career I have also worked in other areas such as language and media teaching, catering, education and family assistance and administration.
My professional experiences in detail

HOUSE OF WOMEN ASSOCIATION: welcoming, orientation and self-help groups.
CPD ASSOCIATION : telephone and video calling psychological support for people in difficulty (economic fragility, loneliness) implemented following the Covid-19 health emergency.
My clinical practice experience as a dynamic psychologist began in the summer of 2020, with online therapy .
I worked as a family assistant in a residential institution for children and young people at risk (educational-family community).
The ONLUS SOS Children's Villages is the largest organization in the world committed to supporting children without family care or at risk of losing them, as well as the welcome and accompaniment in the life cycle of children, young people and their families .
During the years I lived abroad I gave Italian lessons for foreigners and Portuguese lessons for Italians (online and face-to-face).
The European Voluntary Service (now called European Solidarity Corps), a scholarship issued by the European Community, at the social solidarity association “Crescer a cores” in collaboration with the “Spin” association of Lisbon.
This experience has allowed me to work with children aged 6 to 36 months, as well as with international volunteers and various groups of population and origin.
During that year I carried out various activities such as table service for the elderly in the neighborhood in a public party (catering) and organization of events for the integration of communities.
Internship in the Provincial Center for Adult Education of Turin teaching Italian to adult migrants.
I did the second period of Erasmus + Internship in Lisbon.
In this year of professional internship I was able to experience how to work in research departments of two different universities, as well as collaborating remotely for the European / International Doctorate on Social Representations of the University of Rome “La Sapienza”.
As for the work in the area, in the second semester of the same year I was able to collaborate with the legal desk of an association for the reception and integration of migrants called "Renovar a Mouraria", a well recognized institution throughout Portugal in this area.
I presented the research “The process of intercultural adaptation of a questionnaire” to the team of doctoral students in Community Psychology of the Institute of Applied Psychology in Lisbon.
In the first year of Master's Degree I taught as assistant in the Laboratory of New Media and Web Marketing in the Master's Degree Course in Psychology of Marketing and Communication of the University of Rome “La Sapienza”.
During the years of the Bachelor's Degree I collaborated with the Information, Reception and Orientation office for foreign students (speaking three languages at that time) of “La Sapienza” in Rome.
I worked as a babysitter in parallel with attending university.
